Young Enthusiasts Spread the Word at Club Expo

 

We were thrilled to hear two young newcomers to the classic car scene sharing their stories and excitement at the recent FBHVC Club Expo at the British Motor Museum.

 

Josh Bennett and Rachel Cook each currently have a classic car on loan to them for the year as part of the Classic Car Loan Project (CCLP), which we at Peter James Insurance are proud to support.

 

Josh is the temporary ‘owner’ of a beautifully-restored 1949 Alvis TA after being presented with the car in November on the Alvis Owner Club (AOC) stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show, and is looking after it with on-going support from the AOC and Classic Car Loan Project manager Bob Wilkinson.

 

Rachel has charge of a restored 1954 Ford Popular and was keen to tell Club Expo delegates of her travels with the ‘Pop’ and attending shows in Yorkshire.

 

Around 150 Expo delegates had the opportunity to speak with both young drivers and admire the Alvis on display and CCLP manager Bob Wilkinson said delegates were impressed with their enthusiasm for the project and their experiences of classic car ownership.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He explained: "Josh and Rachel are typical of the group of young drivers involved in the project - we’ve been fortunate to be able to select such enthusiastic and responsible young drivers to give credibility to this exciting venture. It’s a pleasure to be associated with them and I’m sure that more cars will be offered as a result of this FBHVC sponsored event."
