Healey Cars

The Donald Healey Motor Company was established in 1946 and based in Warwick (not too far from our offices in Rubery!), and initially produced the models now commonly referred to as the Warwick Healeys. In 1952, a joint venture was created by Donald’s company and the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation and the Austin Healey was born!

Austin Healeys were produced until 1972, at which point Donald Healey left what had become British Leyland, joining Jensen Motors which subsequently produced the Jensen Healeys until 1976.

Supporting Young Drivers

We know that insurance can often be a barrier to young people being able to own or enjoy classic vehicles, so we have developed insurance products specifically aimed at supporting young Austin Healey enthusiasts, available only through active membership with the club.
We have a range of options for young club members:

  • Accompanied Driver Cover – a young enthusiast can drive a Healey owned by a parent or grandparent whilst accompanied
  • Unaccompanied Driver Cover – a young member can drive a Healey owned by a family member without supervision
  • Own vehicle – cover for young members that own their own Austin Healey (or variant of the model)

How do I qualify for the scheme?

All club members are welcome to obtain a quote, just let us know your club membership number when you call.

You can also receive an additional discount based on how long you have been a member of the club.

So, if you’re speaking to a member of our team – they’ll give you the price with the additional benefits included, and it’s the same with our Quick Quote System. The price you see will include the additional benefits (you will need to confirm your club membership number during the purchase process).

What if I’m not a member?
